The professional training center has been established in 2008 as a result of the collaboration between SkillTech SRL, Netherland and the "Gh. Asachi", Iasi, Romania.
Alewijnse Training Centre Romania (ATCR) , affiliated with the Faculties of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Computer Science from Iasi, for young electrical profile engineers (university level) and students last academic year, activates its theoretical and practical training activity within the University’s classroom which is arranged for this purpose, as well as at the Practical Center located at Socola Street No.188-190.
Young students, selected after an interview in June/ July, for a training period of one year starting November, performed at the ATCR centers, will be afterwards employed as design engineers or commissioning/service. They are organized into two educational groups working in parallel at the Practical Center and at the University Center.
Training activities are held alternately at the Practical Center and at theUniversity Center. Also, students participate in technical and personal development programs held by companies from Romania and the Netherlands. Travel costs, insurance, etc. are sustained from project funds.
During 1 year’s training, students sign an educational agreement, for acquiring domain-specific knowledge of naval and industrial electrical engineering. During this period they receive a monthly scholarship.
The team responsible with the functioning of ATCR (The team operating ATCR) is presented below.
The ATCR students perform a technical theoretical and practical training program.
The training program plans to develop general knowledge of electrical engineering, designing skills, using of electrical equipment, practical realization of electrical installations, direct/remote electric drive, automation.
Also in the Automation Room the students are involved in a special theoretical and practical training program for using PLCs.
The training program from the Practical Center has as theoretical support the special training modules E-learning available at http://www.leerstofnet.nl .
